Fundacion Bandera Blanca is a non profit organization located in Costa Rica that focuses on helping the youth of marginalized zones of San José. They started in 2005 helping the children of the women incarcerated in the local penitentiary El Buen Pastor. Thanks to the hard work of the project coordinator Berlin Castro,hundreds of volunteers and donations from selfless caring people they now have their own space in Los Hatillos (A high risk neighborhood in San José) Where they help feed hundreds of children every week as well as helping them with their academic responsibilities. They even have started music and art programs with the help of local college students in order to give this at risk population of kids all the opportunities they deserve.
